Wain Homes welcomes you to our consultation website for our proposed development on the land north of Claverham Road, Claverham. We are currently in the early stages of bringing forward a full planning application for up to 130 new homes to help deliver much needed new and affordable homes to help meet North Somerset Council’s (NSC) current and future housing targets. 

The development would consist of a diverse mix of property sizes, including a provision for 30% of properties to be affordable homes, suitable for a wide range of buyers and increasing the opportunity for home ownership in the area. The proposal would make a meaningful contribution to easing pressure on the council’s housing waiting list, while also creating opportunities for first-time buyers and young families to access the housing market.

We believe that local feedback is essential to creating well-considered and sensitively designed developments. We therefore welcome the local community and stakeholders to share their views with us. Your feedback will help shape and refine our plans before we submit an application to NSC in the coming months.

Protecting and preserving the landscape

The protection and enhancement of significant areas (approximately half the proposed site) of green open space is an important feature of the proposals, and ensuring that the plans integrate sympathetically into the local landscape has been a significant influencing factor in developing our masterplan for the site.  Find out more on our Proposals page.
